Elope in Japan Collaboration

A collection of stories, resources and inspiration from my collaboration with the lovely Ayako & Ross at Elope in Japan

Welcome to Japan!

It has been my absolute pleasure to team up with the lovely Ayako & Ross from Elope in Japan to document some stunning Weddings and Elopements throughout Japan. We’ve teamed up and shot in some beautiful hidden gardens, charming Japanese tea houses, Kominka, Machiya and majestic Buddhist temples. Ayako & Ross work with a small team of equally talented photographers all with their own unique style so here’s a little introduction to my own photography from our collaborations together. The ‘stories’ should give you a nice overview to what a final gallery might look like (although there’ll be even more photos in the full gallery).

I have also added a few handy guides and resources to help you prepare for you photoshoot with me here in Japan including an introduction to how I work, a guide to posing and how I might be using the light to my advantage.

Finally, I enjoy every single Wedding and Elopement that I photograph and cannot wait to be part of your special day here in Japan!

Hopefully these stories will give you a nice vision of what to expect and a good idea about the beautiful venues that Ayako & Ross have managed to build relationships with. The total cost including planning, venue and photography will vary from venue to venue, especially if the place is private, but they are all fantastic in their own unique ways. These are perfect if you want a beautiful, intimate and private Wedding ceremony in Japan.

A FEW WORDS FROM ME…

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would become a Wedding photographer in Japan but here I am! Becoming a Wedding and Elopement photographer has truly been the most rewarding and satisfying job that I have done through my career (and there’s been many twists and turns - military, International Red Cross, teaching). I love every single shoot that I do and always set out to do the best job I possibly can for every couple. Everyone is unique and I tailor my approach to each couple to make them feel comfortable, relaxed and most importantly, happy with the final photos! I also aim to keep a balance with my work schedule so that I arrive fresh to every shoot and not tired from the previous day or back to back sessions - this allows me to give everything I can during your special day in Japan - I won’t let you down!

I hope you find the stories and resources above useful and if you like what you see, I’d be delighted to work with you and document your Wedding day here in Japan (with the help of Ayako & Ross of course). If you’ve already gone through Ayako & Ross then they’ll connect me with you directly but if you wish to hear a little more from me, please get in touch via the link below!
