Maternity Portrait Shoot surrounded by beautiful nature and Sakura in Tokyo

When these two lovely people got in touch with me regarding a maternity photoshoot surrounded by nature in Tokyo I was only too happy to help! This wasn’t the first time we had met either, I photographed L&R’s Tokyo Wedding last year so it was a beautiful surprise to be photographing them both again. Well, three of them technically!

We decided to make the most out of the Sakura and tried to time the shoot with full bloom. Luckily for us, everything worked out perfectly and we went to one of my favourite hidden Sakura spots in central Tokyo away from the crowds. I love nature as a backdrop for maternity sessions in Tokyo as it just provides a timeless quality to the photos. Simple and beautiful.

I like to keep my portrait photography for couples as natural as possible but still give some guidance on posing and how to get the best out of you both. Ultimately though, I’m looking for the natural interactions between you both, the moments in-between, a kiss or laugh that just comes naturally. I like to keep things relaxed and fun so we can just enjoy shooting together and come out with some lovely pictures to remember this moment in time.

I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking so here they are, highlights from a lovely maternity portrait session in central Tokyo surrounded by nature.
