A fun and intimate elopement ceremony in Tokyo

Highlights from a beautiful and romantic Elopement ceremony in a traditional Japanese building in the heart of Tokyo, Japan

When these two lovely people got in touch with me to organise their elopement here in Tokyo I was only too happy to help. I love smaller Weddings and Elopements and believe they really offer something special, a time when you can really just focus on the two of you without the stress of a larger Wedding Day.

T&H requested a small elopement ceremony to be officiated by their close friend situated in the heart of Tokyo. Their brief was simple, something traditional with a sense of Japan plus some late night adventures through the streets of Tokyo. I teamed up with my good friend Tyson Faa at Wonder Weddings for the videography and planning to create a truly memorable day for these two lovely humans!

The day started with getting ready at their hotel followed by a short taxi ride to the venue itself. The venue is absolutely beautiful and offers an amazing backdrop for an intimate ceremony (I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many koi carp in one pond)! Following the ceremony and a little shoot around the venue we hopped in another taxi to Asakusa for the evening’s celebrations. It really was a fun day and night full of laughter and good times!

I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking but if you’re interested in doing something similar to this please do get in touch and I’ll be happy to help! My photography style is natural, timeless with an editorial flare. I hope you like these photos as much as I do!
