A fun and relaxed family portrait session in Tower Hill & St. Katherine’s Docks, London
This casual family portrait session around St. Katherine’s Docks and Tower Bridge was an absolute joy to shoot. I always enjoy photoshoots in the Tower Hill area as there are so many nice backgrounds to choose from aside from the obvious (and very impressive) Tower Bridge itself. St. Katherine’s Dock is really nice for family portrait sessions since it’s usually quite quiet despite being only a couple of hundred metres away from the main tourist hot spot. There’s also one of the cleanest Red Phone boxes in London alongside a traditional red post box too! If you’re here on vacation then these two locations really do tick a lot of those iconic London sites off the list!
I like to keep things casual for my family portrait sessions and enjoy simply taking a walk through an area and stopping whenever we see a nice composition. I always encourage natural interaction too rather than all photos looking directly at the camera. It’s the moments in-between that I’m looking out for as well as a few more traditional family photos.
